Let's see... Britney, JLo, Garth Brooks, and now Mick all in a matter of a few days on the tube, all around the "sweeps" that drive up costs that advertisers pay for commercial time—and drive up the costs that we all pay for products to accommodate that charge.

Well, one way is by lightening your wallet."This is rather interesting and ties in to a theory I've been toying with: That modern advertising and marketing actually does little if anything to help sell product. We are in a post-advertising world where the costs of marketing and advertising that are built into a product have now become merely additional fees that customers pay to keep large chunks of corporate AmeriKKKa from going unemployed. This is a product of the fallout of the blurring of the advertising/editorial relationship. Clearly I have yet to think this thing through entirely, but I do believe I'm on to something here.
You know what else is funny? I can't find the link now, but Mick's new album sold less than a thousand copies after being released in England. Public interest is apparently zero! Ha ha, Mick! You geezer!
I watched that documentary and I was pretty impressed with some of the new songs I heard, especially "Gun" which was ace.The man nay now be somewhat of a parody of his former self yet he is a parody with the same dab hand at penning a tune. I don't understand the level of cynicism being cast over Mick's endevours, there are other far more worthy targets.Besides which, the man wrote Sympathy for the Devil! Show some fucking respect.
Adrian, see my article on Mick now posted on GloNo for a little love toward Mick. I agree with you. He's old, yes. He's rich, yes. But chances are, even what he shits out now is still better than 90% of the actual recorded output of many of today's "rockstars" or, dare I say it, "artists."
