He's gone to Luckenbach, Texas

February 14, 2002

Waylon's electric logoIf y'all haven't heard, one of the greatest has left us. Waylon Jennings died today, due to complications from diabetes. Waylon's music, his outlaw image, and his work on "Dukes of Hazzard" have made him one of my lifelong favorites. I'm deeply saddened. But today is also Valentine's Day, so I'd like to share a line from my favorite Waylon song. The only two things in life that make it worth livin' is guitars tuned good and firm feelin' women. The song is "Luckenbach, Texas," and truer words have never been written.
