The Bowie album, Diamond Dogs has a lot of Fender-Rhodes on it. My personal fav (and heavy on the FR) from that album is "We Are the Dead."

And from the same era, "Editions of You" by Roxy Music.

The intro to Heartbreaker by the Stones is pretty sweet. But I think You're My Best Friend wins.

Leonard Cohen Chicago, May 6

No, this isn't spam. My wife and I bought tickets to the May 6 show along with a friend of mine who lives out of the state. Now he's unable to make it, so I'm helping him unload his ticket. He just wants to make back his money. It's a $75 ticket, with the convenience, processing, service, etc. (all ...

The hardcore stuff is great, isn't it? But I think you're forgetting a couple of fucking classic albums by them, prior to Freedom of Choice . Don't you like Q: Are We Not Men? A: We are Devo and Duty Now For the Future ? I prefer both to FOC, and I fucking love FOC. See'em live if you get the chance...

I don't think it's too late. But don't expect too much. Smooth Noodle Maps was awful with the exception of "Devo Has Feelings Too." They were a lot younger back then. (And, even then, had already released a couple of not-so-great albums.) That said, it's not beyond the realm of possibility...

You already included one good one from Gram, but please consider "$1,000 Wedding." Beautiful and heart-wrenching. My favorite Gram song and one of my all-time favorite songs, period.

New NIN album

Wonder if this surprise full-length offering from Trent Reznor will be any good? I'm normally not a huge fan of his music, but this looks promising:

Yes, poor Ig's got mismatched legs. And, well, he's only five foot one.

I would like to get rid of my cds, but I originally ripped them all over to a shitty format and just don't feel like starting over. So, until I feel motivated to re-rip them all (which won't be any time soon), I'm stuck with them. There are some--autographed (Bootsy Collins!), certain box sets, and ...

I'm curious why people are willing to pay big bucks for Leonard Cohen in a big venue, but not for Neil Young. What gives? For me, it's simple. I'm more of a Leonard Cohen fan than a Neil Young fan. I like Neil just fine but really don't care if I see him or not. That said, maybe it's because Leonar...
