Terrible news. The drummer from Bayside was killed just over a week ago in a van accident also. Then there was The Exploding Hearts a few years ago and I'm sure there has been a few since. Scary.

New Broken Social Scene

Should I spend my hard earned money on the new album? I really dug You Forget it in People, but I have too many cd's...and spend too much money on them. Opinions?

I had the exact same experience. I was so blown away by Script of the Bridge I think I just set myself up to be disappointed by Strange Times . The songs just meander too much on ST. I'll probably be selling my copy too, eventually. Exactly. I probably expected way too much from 'Strange Times.' Ha...

Are we all at least in agreement that Being There is a flat-out fuggin' masterpiece? I could never really get into this album, though I do like a few of the songs very much; most notably the opener "Misunderstood" and some others I can't think of right now. The whole thing just never really got me....

The fucker just barks at you, and the sheer racket, pretentions, and dirtiness blows my mind, particular...

'Underwater Moonlight' by The Soft Boys. 'I wanna destroy you' is a great song but the rest of the album is, well, just kind of bland. On certain days I can get into it, but most of the time I just end up putting on something else.

I don't have any, and go back on forth on whether I want one. I'm beginning to lean more and more towards no, however, because they probably will look pretty bad in 15 or 20 years. The ink will fade and your skin will get saggy. I have a bit of respect for the carpe diem attitude that purveys everyo...

I saw him play about 4 1/2 years ago in Seattle. One of the best shows I've ever been to. RIP Mr. Burnside and thank you...
