Word to whomever mentioned "Sweetness Follows" by R.E.M upthread. Also, to have the gorgeous "Find the River" on the same album is heavenly. "Find the River" is the only song that's ever made me cry.

Also, someone brought up "The Great Gig in the Sky". Air's "Playground Love" from "The Virgin Suicides" always reminds me of that song and is equally as beautiful in my opinion (I like the instrumental version more, for what it's worth).

yes find the river is equally good as is everybody hurts. at least for the first few times you hear. i can hear it now and like it but for a while there it got way too overplayed.

Gotta agree with 'Find the River.' Though I think 'Nightswimming' is one of their most beautiful songs.

Here are a few of mine off the top of my head:

Sun Kil Moon "Glenn Tipton"
Gomez "Tijuana Lady"
Wilco "California Stars"
Billy Joel "Summer Highland Falls" (haha, this one is a bit sentimental for me)

Neil Young "Harvest Moon"
