Good calls by most of you--

The new M83 album is fantastic. Just a warm, moving, epic album.

The Decemberists - Picaresque (Their best yet. They've begun to shed the image of being a "quirky" band in favor of just writing excellent pop songs.)
Archer Prewitt - Wilderness
Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake / Digital Ash
Stephen Malkmus - Stephen Malkmus (I don't understand all the hatred towards this album. It's much better then Pig Lib in my opinion.)
Mos Def and Talib Kweli are....Black Star - The best hip hop album of all time. Seriously. If you hate hip hop, wait until you hear this album before you pass any more judgement. And if you love hip hop, this will only reaffirm your faith.)

As for the new Low, I have to say, I'm not a fan. I like "California" a lot, but I think the rest of the album is just a little lacking compared to their older stuff.

dieblucasdie:
Damn, I need a superhero name or something (completely irrelevant and premature aside to the OC people: WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH SANDY COHEN??) . You can find Final Fantasy MP3s here. No, I haven't heard anything of theirs but have been reading the accolades over the internets and am excited about getting home to a computer that actually has working sound.
While I could not find anything about an album, this here is the website of Les Mouches, which Final Fantasy is a side project of. I would imagine that if anything becomes available they would post about it there.
And yes. I am still EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY BORED. but getting paid. Bitches!

Yeah, those are a couple of the tracks I've heard and their pretty darn good. Like if Arcade Fire was just a crazy guy in his bedroom. And there apparently is an album, called Has A Good Home that various bloggers up North are jabbering abooot.

Andrew Bird--The Mysterious Production of Eggs.
I picked this up while I was out with a friend today and we played it at her house, and seriously? All we could do was stare at each other with our mouths agape.

You've gotta see this guy live! I own Thrills and The Swimming Hour and both are amazing. He whistles like an 80 year old man. Great stuff :)
