Hey there,

So anyone up for a cliche (and a bit late) thread? I was hoping for a little vote for the best of 2001.

My vote for #1 would have to be Red Blood Cells by the White Stripes. No other album has occupied more time on my cd player in the past year than that.

Runner up (although not a close second) is Low - Things We Lost In The Fire. Simply beautiful music.

I love the Rival Schools album, it just didn't quite edge into my best of list.

Also, the title of the Sparklehorse album is incorrect in previous post. Sorry about that, I was lacking in caffeine at that poitn.

Best record released in 2001 was Velvet Crush- Rock Concert, recorded live at the Metro. The other favorites here look excellent too, esp. obviously you can't deny Wilco. Songs from the Clem Snide and Jonathan Richman albums have been gettin' to me, but I haven't heard the whole albums.

Yeah!!!!

Why don't you ever review BNL or DMB? What about some news about the Verve Pipe or the Wallflowers or Peter Yorn or Sugar Ray?

I just realized that you guys are all snobs and jerks.

I hate you all. Especially Johnny!
