Is this recollection coming into mind from , say, the 80's? If so, there still out there rockin' ass in their bad boy acid wash jeans!

I'm sure it's the same band. To me, they seem like a bad spoof of 80's hair bands.

LOL! I knew I'd lose cred for mentioning TVP. Anyway, the Amway Grand's a nice place.

Whoa!!!

I just noticed that I've received an official GloNo title. Wow, I'm going out tonight for some Old Styles to commemorate being the Cat's Pajamas!!!

Anyone remember the Verve Pipe guy's name yet?

Seriously, living in GR with that guy is a nuisance. He makes all of his "appearances" at shows to give "his fledgling bands" credibility or something. The guy's a satire of all the lame ass "rock stars" you've ever heard about.

You mean Brian Vander Ark, right? Yeah, I think most of GR is pretty sick of hearing of him by now. TVP is the only band I can think of that was ever covered by Mustard Plug in such a way that the song was cooler than it was before.

For the record - that Molly is not the Molly I remember. the Molly I liked back at the 'section (circa '95-6) was cool.

And since Prop mentioned the titles, I have to ask - what does OG mean? Or was Jake just flailing about in the admin pages and fucked up? Hard to say.

Original Gangsta, silly. After someone posts 20 comments they automatically become a Playa. But Josh and Shecky are the OGs since you've been here since the beginning...

can I change my username and still retain my post count #? I don't think I'm anonymous anymore.

Proptronics--Is Whirlwind Heat still around? I saw them open up for the White Stripes about a year and a half ago and one other time in Detroit. Doesn't seem like they've played in either town since then. Do they pretty much stick to Grand Rapids?

They are definitely a great live act. The ep they released in 2000 is also really good. (Not sure if they've released anything else.)

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta!

I didn't even notice the change from guru to OG! Cool!

Next title change I wanna be Drunken Master...

Also, fuck Ticketmaster.
