Prop, if you want to come to D-Town, I can take you to the Magic Stick where Meg hangs. Not really much of a big deal to see her sucking down $2 Pabsts with her girlfriends. Funny that people would drive all the way to Cleveland to see a local band... I still maintain that they aren't even the best group in Detroit. The Von Bondies kick their asses.

Hey, I was there last Friday. No Meg to be seen, damn! Maybe it's a good thing, I was already in shit with my girlfriend when I failed to introduce her to an ex that came up to say hi.
The Cleveland thing was a fun way to combine a trip to visit a friend and see a show. I'm catching them in Lansing (a 40 min. drive in April).
As far as the Von Bondies, their cd was pretty uninspired in my opinion. Of the Detroiters, I would put the White Stripes, the Dirtbombs and Outrageous Cherry at the top of the heap. Whatever happened to The Go?

Prop--The Go are still alive and well. They just got back from a West Coast tour, actually. They had a bunch of trouble getting their second album (recorded two years ago!) released. Sub Pop (Warner) didn't like it and wouldn't let them take it elsewhere. (Does this sound familiar? Wilco, perhaps?) After much money spent on lawyers, they got out of their contract. An indie label will be releasing it sometime late spring/early summer. In the meantime, Italy Records (run by The Go's bass player) is scheduled to release a 7".
