This is such bullshit. Dinosaur Jr.'s gear was stolen last night after their show in N.Y.C.
"After a blisterning set last night in Brooklyn, NY the band awoke this morning to find that the their trailer had been broken into and all of the gear has been taken.
J's Amma guitar, the mountain man guitar, Lou's Rickenbacker... EVERYTHING IS GONE.
They are still taking inventory to see what else is gone but they were pretty much wiped out.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! Spread the word to everyone you know, every music store, pawn shop, club... anywhere you can think they may show up.
If you have ANY information let us know - [email protected]
Thank you."

Damn, back in the wild west, stealing a man's horse was a hanging offense. Likewise, stealing a musician's instruments should be an automatic life sentence in prison, where they pipe Barry Manilow, Mantovani, and muzak into your cell at ear-blistering volumes, 24/7/365.
When I hear that musicians are getting cleaned out of their gear, I'm sadly reminded that for the crooks, NOTHING IS SACRED. Makes you wanna cry.

Particularly when there's a few sweet-ass Jazzmasters involved. Those things are like Palominos.
And with Anton on the case now, let's hope they find the thieves so that he can go off on 'em Matt Hollywood style.
I mean, what the fuck?!
Sonic Youth
Brian Jonestown Massacre
Film School
Who am I missing from the last few years?
J's gotta be upset...
Engine Down and Matt Pond PA
But back to the Dinosaur Jr. story, a BC Rich Warlock bass? I thought only grungy 15 year olds in death metal bands played those.

I thought the same thing too when I read that! Maybe Lou likes the irony of owning it.
I'll confess to browsing the Daisy Rock guitar line-up a few times. Feel free to draw your own conclusions about me.

This guitar makes me want to manage a teen glam band. I've always
wanted to play a Don Kirshner role in a band: audition the players, tell
them what to play, what to wear, hair, etc. I think I could create the
coolest band ever. At least for a couple of albums until they wanted to
start playing what they wanted and dressing how they wanted... At which
point, they'd fire me, release an amazingly great album that their fans
would reject because it was unlike their previous output, but ultimately it
would be critically revisited and deemed a great success.
