Jake, that plan sounds truly, truly, truly outrageous.

I agree with you DJ Murphy, lock the fuckers up for life and pipe in Kenny G into their cells!

It's easier than you might think. When Riviera went to CMJ last year GLONO put us up in a nice hotel with "secure" valet parking near the venue. We checked our van and went in to unpack. About two hours later we were walking to get dinner and happend past the garage and saw the van at street level. Mick needed something from inside and out of habit just grabbed the back door handle before our man Jude could unlock it. To all of our shock and horror, the van WAS unlocked with many of guitars inside.

We raised a stink with the hotel management but if we hadn't walked by when we did our gear could be listed on this now too.

You just never know...

As a side note, has anybody heard the J. Mascis solo acoustic show from '93 recently released by Rhino? Bought it today: great stuff!

I have a Mascis solo release called Martin and Me. It's solo acoustic, and he covers "Boy With a Thorn in His Side." Pretty good stuff. My special lady friend, who isn't much of a Dinosaur Jr. fan, liked it pretty well.

Camper Van Beethoven, for one. Well, actually, for TWO -- their gear got stolen in Montreal, and in Dallas.

I'm with all y'all -- let's hang those fuckers!

Yeah, this one is live, and mainly vintage Dino. Jr. stuff. Some really cool versions of repulsion, get me, thumb, etc....

Same with Martin and Me. It was the first Mascis thing I heard without Dino Jr., but it had a ton of Dino Jr. on it.
