Why was Klosterman canned? Anyways, he's got a book deal, so he'll land on his feet. My guess is number 3 is due out in paper in the spring.

Actually, we stayed in Manhattan. Yes, the show was in Brooklyn, but please...

Hmm, well, I tried to make arrangements to get together in Manhattan, but Jake's reply:

While that's cool and all, and I'm glad you cotted down somewhere in Manhattan; it was a one day, Brooklyn only event. Somewhat akin to, say, going to "Chicago" for a one night event in Kendall.

I hope next time you're able to stick around so we can treat you right.

I am a hardcore CK loyalist, and he was very loyal to ex-editor Sia Michel. Thus, when Sia got the boot, and CK followed, the magazine got quite the facelift. It did become very Blender-esque (see: more inlays on the magazine cover, a sex columnist, 20 pages devoted to Ultragrrrl, etc.).

Although frustrated with it, I pick it up if i'm in the airport or something, and it's still an entertaining read, although with all of the internet reading (blogs, pitchfork, etc.) it just seems to always be two steps behind.. and without chuck's wit, it's lacking in the 'saving grace' department.

That said, I envy your life with all of my heart and soul. I'm currently a journalism student in new york city and I would love to talk to you more about where you've been and where you're going.

And it was very likely the only time anyone east of the Appalachians will ever get a chance to see either of those bands. Tough luck, bitches. Get while the gettin's good.

Have you heard Robbie Fulks' tribute to their song craft, "Fountains of Wayne Hotline"? Pure genius. Track it down.
