They keep playing it on a tv commerical, so I'm totally maxing out The New Pornographer's "The Bleeding Heart Show."

What TV commercial?

I had Mew's "The Zookeeper's Boy" on a permanent repeat last week. Unfortunately I bought the album in haste, and the rest of the album doesn't hold up as well.

This week I'm getting myself worked up over the new Arcade Fire by listening to "Black Mirror" over and over.

That is such a great cover.

Mine has been M83's "Don't Save Us From the Flames." Those drums are fucking large.

I caught the video for the Silversun Pickup's "Lazy Eye" a couple of weeks ago and have been jamming out to that ever since. Very Smashing Pumpkins-ish, and has a killer crescendo.

"St. Rosa and the Swallows" by The Thermals. I think it's been burned into my cerebral cortex.

I've been listening non-stop to "A Pillar of Salt" by the Thermals and to "Cheated Hearts" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for the past few days. They are burned into my psyche and the only thing that will purge them is listening to them, oh, a couple thousand times each.

I have no idea what the product is. How's that for marketing efforts! They just play the last part of the track (the "hey la" part) causing the hipsters to go "What the fuck?! That's a fucking New Pornographers' song!"

That Thermals album really has some staying power - I have been grooving to "Test Pattern" lately.

Also Cat Power doing a belated cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" just keeps finding it's way into the party shuffle. From some show in Berlin (I think I found it on rbally), and like all her other music, her voice is haunting and the arrangement simple.

Late to the party as usual, I can't stop playing "The Swish" from The Hold Steady Almost Killed Me.
