Jeff Tweedy wrote that for Solomon Burke. I don't think it was ever intended for SBS (or any Wilco album).

When I saw JT in Vancouver on his solo tour last year, he joked that Wilco was going to make a "dirty soul" album. (I think he may have joked about the "yacht rock" too... or maybe it was "couch rock.") Sounds like SBS will be soulful, but dirty?... not so much.

I quite liked the Petty cd. It's not nearly as good as vintage Petty, but all in all, it's a solid cd and worth the investment especially if you can get it used (which by now may be very possible).

haven't heard the Mellencamp...and honestly, don't see that changing anytime soon.

Don't fuck with Mr. Cross....

I was born the son of a lawless man.
Always spoke my mind with a gun in my hand.
Lived nine lives
gunned down ten.
Gonna ride like the wind.

odd that no one has yet mentioned r.e.m. or the cure. r.e.m. espeically. they had an amazing run starting with chronic town and ending with automatic. or new adventures in hi-fi depending on how you view things.
