Girls Rock! Chicago*Saturday at Metro

Postby HOPELESSHOMO » Thu Aug 16, 2007 5:21 pm

This Saturday , August 18, marks a very special occasion for 60 very
lucky girls including one of my own - Abigail Asa. She and the
other attendees of this summer's Girls Rock! Chicago rock camp will have
the opportunity to strut their stuff live on stage at Chicago's own Metro.
Each of the 15 bands formed will be performing an original song at their
end-of-summer Camper Showcase Extravaganza!

Abigail will be playing guitar in SandStorm Girls and promises to rock
your socks off.

Also performing are:
Hot Pink Streaks * Screaming Candy * Crimson City Chicks * Electrolytes *
the Turpentines * Contagious Love (of chicken & potatoes) * Ironics *
Pandora's Box * 13 Black Cats * Never Knows Best * Prime Time Primates *
Sugar Rush * Spazz Atak * Skittles *

Details:
Saturday, August 18
The Metro (3730 N. Clark St.)
Show @ NOON (doors 11:30am)
$6 Cover (all proceeds benefit GR!C)

interested! I've got two free tickets left. Be the first to e-mail
back and they're yours.

Oh, Nice!

I won't be making it to Chicago for the show, but you just gave me a whole list of new Grrl Bands to check out.

Hmm...
Not so much at iTunes.

There was a band called "The Turpentines" but it was not a girl band,
but a Scandinavian garage band on a Gearfest compilation.

Turns out, Sugar Rush is the only band up there that has something
available on iTunes, and they were pretty boring.

Off to check eMusic.
