Hi-larious.

Don't you mean "Wii-larious"? But seriously folks, after the news of the $50 XBox price drop I'll throw my hat in their ring. I might even pick one up myself. Anyone want to buy a lap steel?

Saying you're not really a gamer sounds like code for "I don't want to lay out $500 on a game system", which I totally understand. But I just picked up Rock Band 2 for my PS3 and it's a complete riot. I never actually owned RB1 (my music-gaming experiences were primarily Guitar Hero on my friends' Wii until this week). But I'm told that the online band features are much better in RB2. Great song selection, even more stuff available for download, you can port over RB1 songs for $5, and the new drums are pretty fun to play.

So if any of you run across <i>The Walt Sykes Experience</i> (long story) while playing Rock Band 2 on PS3, give me a what-what.

As for Wii vs X360 vs PS3 - you're probably best off with the X360 version all things considered. The PS3 console is more expensive (now $399) but the online networking is free so it's kind of a toss-up.

I loooooove me some Rock Band, and I'm trying to find a way to justify getting rid of RB1 in order to have RB2 (so far I have not found said way).

I just wanted to throw in the discussion that I use my PS3 as much for watching movies as I do playing games, and Blu-Rays are so awesome looking I can hardly stand it. If you're a cinephile, anglophile, or pedophile, I can't recommend enough the difference between HD and SD. Surround sound... meh, I think it's way overrated. But picture-wise? In my opinion it's totally worth the extra money for the PS3 vs 360.

PS. Lest any of you get the wrong idea, I am NOT an anglophile.

O so addicted, my friend, because it is indeed dope as sin. I got it a few months ago...my boys (8 and 9) just bought me 2 extra wiimotes for Christmas, so we get four people going at once and it's awesome.

I'd call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!

I'll post my friend code later. Even though I play on WFC regularly, I haven't done the friend thing...I'm assuming it's easy to manage.
