Just watched the Hold Steady on Letterman. Awesome.

Neil Young, too. Good show.

Can't compare to Rush on The Colbert Report.

BTW, Geddy Lee does speak like a normal guy.

The Hold Steady have reaffirmed my faith that straight up rock and roll can still own shit. Thank you, Finn & Co.

I can't get into them, but I can't get into Bruce or the Walkmen either, and the Hold Steady sound pretty similar to those guys, at least to me.

After I fell hard for Seperation Sunday I noticed The Hold Steady wasn't getting much love around here. I went to Katlick school so I figured the high number of jews in this community couldn't relate to the christianity references like I could. I moved on and kept my obsession with Craig Finn to myself. I even fell into a habit of constantly doing his creepy little hand gestures to music. It works really well to "In The Summertime" by Mungo Jerry. Good to see they are now being appreciated here.

Ohhhhh. You went to Catholic school. That explains everything, Sven.

Thanks for linking that, otherwise I would have missed it. I'm completely in love with this album right now...it's so rare that a band puts out two albums in a row that knock me out, but this might be one of those uncommon but happy occasions.
