If It Ain't Broke Fix It Anyway

Here's a thread where you can suggest ways to make good well known songs even better. I'd suggest using songs that are well-known, and not crap that no one has ever heard of like The Wrens.

In Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas I think it would be even better if if went like this....

Regular male vocalist: "I hear the the black girls when I'm dreaming, I can hear them sing....."
Trio Of Soulful Black Girls: Carry on my wayward son. There'll be peace when you am done. Lay yo weary head to res'. cry yo ass no more!"

I admit this version is heavily influenced by "Take A Walk On The Wild Side." But I think it would add a new dimension to an already legendary song.

Look carefully at the Ig's footwear; one croc is a platform croc, the other one has a regular sole. Does Iggy have a short leg or something? (No, not THAT leg...)

Yes, poor Ig's got mismatched legs. And, well, he's only five foot one.

Of course, with Iggy you never know. Maybe that's the closest he could come to matching shoes.

The Scorpions' "Rock You Like A Hurricane" could use some actual hurricane sound effects (wind shear, smashing shit up, people screaming, etc.).

Jewel's entire catalogue could use some yodeling.

In the late 60s/early 70s there seemed to be a common song on many albums - a veritably unlistenable track featuring feigned (or, maybe not?) orgasmic vocalizations (see Whole Lotta Love, Great Gig In The Sky, Aphrodite's Child's "The Beast" - I'm sure there are more, better ones I've missed). Every record could use one of these.

I think at some point during every song someone should bellow, "Does anybody remember laughter?" like in the live version of Stairway To Heaven.

You know, maybe I'm being a defensive old man, but don't you think we should maybe allow our rock and roll heroes to grow up eventually? I mean, wouldn't it be embarrassing and phony for Hetfield to continue to wear ripped Levis and black t-shirts when we all know he has a bazillion dollars in the bank? So the dude was dressed like an American tourist out shopping in a foreign country? Because he was!
