Why'd you lock this thread, Jake?

How often does Jake lock threads? I found this one a while back while browsing the back pages:

I think my response here
sums it up.
Yes, the policy seem to be that it's your board, and when political issues come up everyone has to agree with you, and if the debate isn't going in the direction you want, you can just lock the thread...
...or create custom scripts on your bulletin board that only affect the posts of one specific user-- We've kept that between us for several years. I'm sure that nobody else on this board is even aware of that one.

Why the 'tude, dude?
I've locked a total of 33 topics out of over 6,000 over 7 1/2 years. THREE of which were political threads. Is this really an issue for you?
As for the script, are you sure you want to bring that up? Because I think you end up coming across as way more of a twat than I do. Abbreviated version as I recall it: Chris G adds a period, a carriage return, another period, and another carriage return to the beginning and end of each of his posts. As someone who values signal over noise on message boards, I PM him and ask why he does this and to please stop. Chris G responds that he's into graphic design and likes white space. I actually modify the stylesheet on the message boards to add more white space at the beginning and end of each post, but Chris G continues adding his dots. So, for my own amusement as much as anything, I write a little thing that strips a period, a carriage return, another period, and another carriage return from all posts (not just for one specific user, but for any yahoo who insists on adding a period, a carriage return, another period, and another carriage return to the beginning and end of each of their posts). Chris G amps it up by changing the characters (a comma, a semicolon, etc.) and I update my code accordingly. It literally took me less than a minute to do. It was just silly.
Eventually, I updated the phpbb message board software which overwrote my modifications, and I decided that it was pointless anyway. If Chris G really wants to look like a twat with his gratuitous punctuation, why bother trying to stop him?
Keep in mind that this was all several years ago. Probably 2004, 2005. Why he's bringing it up now, I have no idea. To point out what a control freak/fascist I am? Fine. So I lock an average of 5 threads per year. Sorry for throttling your expression.

You're embellishing the facts and dodging the circumstance when this took place.
During the 2004 election I had posted some disagreements with you about politics, and to retaliate you began modifying your PHP to strip out the "." at the end of my posts. So I switched to "," then you modified your PHP to strip out commas, etc. This went on and on, all through the 2004 election. Never mind that I voted for Kerry and even built a website supporting Kerry (though originally I was a Wesley Clark supporter), I wasn't radical enough for your liking.
Later, after the 2004 election season was over, I added a free banner-ad for Glo-No on my blog, and as some sort of thank you, about 2 days later you removed the PHP code from your blog.
On another board, I learned a trick to add more white space by turning a character to the color of the background so that it didn't leave any period or other characters at the end. I did that to my posts here for several years following.
But then last year during the 2008 election season I wrote in a post that I wouldn't want Canadian style medical coverage is the US. Although I voted for Obama, and I'm not a Republican, and never elaborated on what form of healthcare reform I did support, I became the whipping-boy for a whole barrage of attacks accusing me of supporting all kinds of things I'd never claimed to support. As a response to me you wrote a little manifesto on why you were a Socialist, and why you supported a Socialist state in the US. And ON THE VERY SAME DAY you changed your PHP code again, this time to strip out the BB code that I had been using to add extra white space without having a character at the end.
Nobody is allowed to disagree with your politics or you make personal attacks on them and do petty shit like amend the board's PHP code to screw up their posts. Several other people on this board (some who no longer come here) have AIM'ed me privately and spoke out about how they would never dare comment on politics on this board because they see how you and your clique will lead an all-out ad hominem assault on anyone who dares to disagree with you on anything political.

Chris, do you think that maybe when you post in heated political threads like that, that perhaps you stick out a little more and that the only reason the changes to the php code seem to happen at about the same time are that those are the times that Jake notices whatever new method you're using to dick with the looks of the site? Cause that explanation seems a lot more sane and non-paranoid than your rant about cliques and political oppression.
