Age 5. Barry Manillow. (And yes, I asked to go. I was a little "fan-illow". My first record was a 7 inch of "Can't Smile Without You.")

I'd like to think I was ahead of my time in an ironic appreciation of Manillow, but the truth is I just loved the man for some unfathomable reason.

Nice to know that someone else had Manillow on vinyl!

(I believe I still have a VHS tape in a closet somewhere of the made-for-tv movie of "Copacabana," featuring Estelle Getty and Joseph Bologna, in which Barry played Tony the bartender.)
