Just noticed that this awesome video was filmed at Garfield Park Conservatory. (confirmation) How cool is that?

And to save you the trouble (that I just went through), here are a bunch of other great Liz Phair YouTube moments...

"Stratford-On-Guy" video (1993)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

She was so fucking cool back then.

"Never Said" on Letterman (1994)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

She sounds pretty good in that one. Better than I'd expect considering her legendary stagefright at the time. Pretty pitchy, obviously, but confident and badass.

"6' 1" (live, 1994)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

This one is kinda not great, but she looks adorable, and this is one of my favorite songs.

"Supernova" video (1994)

Enabling disabled, but click through. Cheerleader outfit and a space helmet??? Come on, is she tapping right into my pervy dreams?

"Supernova" on Letterman (1994)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

"Whip-Smart" video (1995)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

This one is overtly sexy. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Silky slip dresses...

"Whip-Smart" on Leno (1995)

<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

This slowed-down arrangement highlights her vocal issues. Not that great.

"Jealousy" video (1995)

Embedding disabled. Great song. Kinda cool video.

"Tra La La Song" video (with Material Issue, 1995)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

"Rocket Boy" video (1996)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

From the Stealing Beauty soundtrack, the Bertolucci film in which an underage Liv Tyler shows a boob. That's all I remember about the movie.

"Polyester Bride" video (1998)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

"Down" video (2001)

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

This came out between whitechocolatespaceegg and the debacle that was her self-titled album. I remember looking forward to her future direction if this was an indication of where she was headed. Unfortunately, that didn't really happen. Instead, she hooked up with the Matrix.

Coincidentally, two days after we posted this, Liz Phair released a new album with no fanfare on her website for $5.99. I bought it. It's weird.
