Superchunk is back, and I feel fine

I have said it here before that I will shamelessly pull for my local North Carolina heroes. That said, Superchunk's new album, nine years after their last one, is just pure joy.

Too much Facebook. I was looking around for the "like" button. Great band and great people. I'm glad they're back.

Don't worry, it's at the top of my "Music to buy" list.

I find the 'chunk kind of generic, but I just got back from the Matador at 21 party in Las Vegas, and they definietly played a take-no-prisoners set. I imagine if you're a fan of these guys the live set is can't-miss.

In one of those moments that can best be described as, "I must be dreaming this," this morning, I'm sitting in the hotel restaurant overlooking the beautiful city of Porto Alegre, rocking some kickass Brazilian coffee, when what should play on the satellite radio but "Everything At Once?" The volume was so low, I thought I really must be imagining it, but there it was:

The feedback and the drums
The feeling noise becomes
Nothing, and everything at once

Mac, you couldn't have said it any better.
