Question for Jake

Hey man, I've seen you tout the excellence of FLAC files. Because I'm lazy I never paid much attention, but recently I came across some files I wanted to download that were in FLAC, and which popped open some software (VLC) on my MacBook. I'm pretty sure I can't listen to those on my iPod, though, right? So how do you manage these files - convert to mp3 for your listening device (surely a Zune!), and listen via your PC/amp/speakers otherwise?

I guess that was more than one question.

Not sure re: specific software for Mac, but on a PC I use Foobar 2000 to convert to MP3 for mobile listening. Here's a bunch of info with links to software:

Thanks Jake. Following through the links, it looks like I can convert these FLAC files to Apple Lossless for playing on the iPod, so I think I'll give that a try.
