Jonas, I appreciate you coming around! See I added a little link to This day on the boards... on the GLONO homepage under the main On This Day section? It's been fun to look back.

I've been good! Been getting into a lot of older music like Mott The Hoople, Spirit, Jo Jo Gunne, that sort of thing. Life is good, work is good, family is good, can't really complain.

What about you? How are things?

Can't complain. 2016 was a pretty tough year. But I'm trying to stay hopeful that 2017 will be better.

Heard any good new records?

Actually, yeah! What I've heard of the new Wyldlife sounds awesome. Tangleweed has a great new one. I just won a download of the new Wabash Cannonballs album, I can't wait to hear. They sound a bit Stones-y crossed with the Georgia Satellites.

Methinks GloNo will hafta innerview all these dudes. Want me to make it happen? ;)

"Testing. Testing. Is this mic on?"

My listening time now: The Mountain Goats/John D have like 30 albums in one form or another, and I'm sort of working myself through those lazily. I did finally see them live and that was terrific, can't recommend it enough if you like to sing along.

I've also been listening to whatever google tells me is "alt country", so a lot of mid-career Steve Earle, plus Jayhawks, Songs: Ohia (Magnolia Electric Company, love that so much), 16 Horsepower, etc.

I was liking Sun Kil Moon for a while, but this confessional rambling style is putting me off a little. Kozelek/Desertshore and SKM/Jesu are the bomb, though.
