At Last-Etta James
A Change is Gonna Come-Sam Cooke

I think the latter of the two songs really gets me because it is sooo
prophetic in nature. I mean it was like he was singing for an entire people, and he knew it....

Also, anything that Peter Murphy does generally raises the hair on my neck...

Now there's a guilty pleasure- "Opportunities" is a great song too. And oh yeah, a song that sends chills up my spine- "Bernadette" by The Four Tops. Does it for me every time.

I've mentioned it before (in the iTunes Music Store thread) but "Blind Willie McTell" by Bob Dylan makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

"you don't love me" by the compulsive gamblers, off of "bluff city." it will make you weep, and your spine tingle, guaranteed.

What's the deal with two moon songs? There are so many songs that transport me, but these five leapt to mind.

sunken-eyed girl? where did you find that? it's not on "skittish," is it? want!
anyway--i love this question--
"within your reach" the replacements
"he war" cat power
"philadelphia" neil young
"juliette" crooked fingers
"everything hits at once" spoon
"stand inside your love" smashing punkins (i am kind of new to this site and share the "west end girls" person's fears of having all cred destroyed but still. godDAMN.)
the theme song from donnie darko. can somebody help me out with this? "and i think it's kind of funny/i think it's kind of sad. the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had."
actually that one might belong in a new topic heading: "songs that make you weep uncontrollably in front of your boyfriend of 2 months who up until this point has not seen you cry."
...i've said too much.
