New Strokes video

Post by Jake »

The video for “12:51” has arrived. This is the Tron-Inspired, Roman Coppolla-directed video that we've heard so much about. It’s essentially a performance video, but imagine that performance is taking place in Tron, and that Julian Casablancas is Jeff Bridges. It’s actually very cool looking - a nice visual tip o’ the hat to the synth-sounding, eighties-infused feel of the single. Check out the video here:

getting tired of more eighties comparisons. yes that was true, once

but this ain.t 80's here. this is retro post lost style, influences are getting more localized. music isn't on a time line anymore, ever heard of reproduction, what did that do to the original, synths are everywhere, not locked in time. you better shake your misconceptions or slip behind. this album is....probably more derivitive of 90's gazing. the strokes are not as they appear to be. try to be a little more original and read your reviews
