International GLONO Fans: we need your help!

Hey you guys... Yeah, you. As you might have heard, we've started a record label. Our first release, TARO SOUND by Quasar Wut-Wut (mp3s), is being released Oct. 19, 2004.

This Thursday our distributor, CTD, will be faxing their list of new releases to their international list for exports, and TARO SOUND will be on that list. Hopefully, a bunch of international retailers will order copies to sell in their store. But realistically, not many people outside the U.S. have heard of Quasar Wut-Wut or Glorious Noise.

We know there are large pockets of GLONO fans in Canada and Sweden and France and other places too. We need you guys to stop by your local, independent record stores and ask them if they're going to get the new Quasar Wut-Wut album. Tell them you think you heard that it's being distributed by Carrot Top Distribution...

If you could do this for us, we'd really, really appreciate it. We want to get this cd out there in as many stores as possible. Let us know the name of the store(s) you asked about, and we'll try to send you some free crap!

Listen, you bitches. We really need your help here. The future of GLONO hangs in the balance.

Ok, not really, but this is very important if we're going to be able to promote music we think should be heard by a larger audience. Please chime in here.

Promise not to re-elect Bush and we'll talk. JK, anything for the Gloriousboys. ... Okay, maybe not anything, but I do want to help.

I've been chained to my desk for the past few days, but still managed to contact the fine folks at Zulu Records and Red Cat Records. Zulu claims that "Carrot Top hasn't offered it for sub distro", no word from Buddy (the cat) yet. I'll keep trying.

I'll do my best, but only when I get a job. I'm not allowed near record shops till then -- too risky.

Awesome. That's exactly what we need. It'll be on CTD's list this Thursday and when they see it hopefully they'll think, Oh that's the band with the funny name that that one girl asked about. Let's order a couple copies... Perfect! Thanks so much, Dreamin. You're our hero!

By the way, if anyone wants to print out flyers and pass them around, here's a copy of our ad that's going to run in the upcoming Magnet magazine. If you need a higher-res version, let me know! Thanks for all your help, guys. You all rule.

Hmmm, I'd still be very much willing to parade around in a GloNo shirt? If anyone cared enough to send me one?

please?

Hey all, don't forget to do some old fashioned street teaming too. You know, mention this album on bulletin boards for upcoming releases and shit. Now, don't go being a pest or anything, but if there's an opportunity to mention QWW and Taro Sound in conversation, please do.

Also feel free to throw these songs on mix CDs or post links to the mp3s on your sites. We want to gte the music out to as many people as we can with the firm belief that people will support good music if given a fair price and a reasonable way to access that music.

The overwhelming response to our call to action for the Sound Opinions show on local music nearly got us black listed. They couldn't believe it wasn't members of the band calling over and over again (it wasn't--Jake and I were at the bar with the band that night and no cell phone was in sight). We really appreciate that kind of support and hope you'll sign on to help us promote this great band.

OK, sigining off as head cheerleader. I am forever yours.
