Hmm, this part of the message board is for bands but i didn't see where else my message would fit so...I have a radio station http://www.gimmenoise.com that runs live 24/7. You can make online requests, choosing from over 10,000 songs, and your picks will automatically play in about an hour. A few weeks ago I gave away the new Cat Power CD, this week I'm giving away the new Cursive (see my website to enter). I'll be giving away some more CDs soon (stuff lik
e the last Breeders, Trail of Dead, the Flaming Lips). I'll also be rebroadcasting interviews my friend Ken did with Barbara Manning, Lynn Perko from Imperial Teen, Anna Waronker and others.

GLONO used to have a Live365 radio station, but we ditched it when they started charging. I loved the idea; still do. How much do you pay for it?

Only about $20 a month right now for a basic/premium station. But you guys would pay waaaay more because you would have to get a Pro station--$70+ a month to Live 365, plus royalty and Sound Exchange fees. I'd love to have a Pro station and actually make money off some ads or sell stuff, but I can't do that yet. Right now I'm just paying my $20 and hoping to eventually get enough of an audience to consider doing a Pro station. I run the station live off one of my computers because I got tired of uploading songs all the time and paying for extra storage. We just found out recently that Live 365 is going to change their fees again on June 1st. The broadcasters aren't sure yet what is going to happen. What we're hearing is that the personal broadcasters with huge amounts of listening hours will probably have to pay more or have listener caps.

Maybe I should advertise on your site! Once I get another job, maybe...
