I think I mentioned it earlier in the year and I feel even more strongly about it....the National's cd is just great. Panda Bear's Person Pitch and the National cd seem head and shoulders above the other releases I've heard this year. However, I'm working up the energy to go the cd store again and get the Robert Plant/Krausse cd and I've heard it is quite good too.

The song "Flanagan's Ball" from the new Dropkick Murphys is one of the most intense recordings I've heard in a while. It's highly derivative....
a cross between The Pogues and Social Distortion.

i've rediscovered robyn hitchcock thanks to his great remastered reissue series that yep rock has done.
