Amighty got thrown by the "beefy" description. The Ray Charles guy is beefy compared to Justin Timberlake. But "The Roughneck" is just downright beefy. It reminds me of a bit The Bride Of Sven and I used to do based on an Eric Burdon interview in which The Animals singer said "Joe Turner was big but he wasn't Big Joe Turner."

Sven: "Where does the confusion lie?"
Bride: "In the fact that Joe Turner was big but he wasn't Big Joe Turner."

I think the roughneck has a lot of marketability even though he's barely hanging on, talent-wise. He blew the last show big time.

Megan is unbelievably gorgeous with a unique skill set but she's whiffed a few now, too.

It's all about Adam, Danny, and Lil. Those three can really put a song across. Allison and Anoop are easy to root for. Allison is ridiculously impressive for her age. Anoop has a certain appeal too. The other white guys got to go.

Once again, I wasn't inspired enough by anyone to pick up the phone and vote. But I really think the blind guy has to go. His voice is so booooooooooooooooring.

Anyone else notice David Spade sitting directly behind Randy Jackson? Spade!

I thought they were way too hard on Lil Rounds. The first half of her song was kinda rough, but the last half was HUGE. And guess what, judges, not everything she does has to be Mary J. Blige, assholes.

His voice is boring and BAD. I think his blindness has a deafening effect on the judges. Plus, he is the least relevant contestant ever - I mean, Simon and Garfunkel one week, and Billy Joel the next? WTF? he would have zero career outside of easy-listening cruises.

I think it will come down to Adam vs. Allison, altho I must admit that Danny may be good but I just don't relate to his music.

And what's with the blond? She, apparently, sucks.

I noticed David Spade. In fact, there's usually a strange smattering of celebrities there. A couple of weeks ago one of the cameras was planted right next to Ted Danson. It must be a cool thing to do in LA.

Gotta agree with Jake. The judges are assholes for slamming Lil and giving pity praise to Scott. Do you find it a little creepy that the blind girl plant in the audience was now sitting with Scott's family this week?

I think they are helping her more than any candidate they've endorsed in the past. And Simon seems pissed about it.

There's something hot about the new judge Kara even though she's a bit long in the tooth--- 37. Her opinions aren't bad. But I think her presence has screwed everything up. Simon and Randy aren't coming up with the insights they used to bring. And Paula is clearly reading or memorizing notes that were written for her by someone else during dress rehearsal. Remember last year when she read the wrong notes for the wrong contestant? Seacrest flew off the handle last week when the audience seemed to forget about the "judges save" rule concerning Roughneck Boy. Then the judges all had to act like they were seriously considering using the only save on him. I think fatigue is setting in among the major players. But the show could still go on for years.

Um, isn't that his sister, who is ALSO blind?

Lil Rounds is deffo not as good as I once thought she was.
