| Over at the Posies site, a secondhand report attributed to jon Auer of the Posies/Big Star says that Alex got out ok. |

It's still looking bad in New Orleans, hope they find everybody. Nobody'd heard from Alex since the day of the storm.

| I'm nervous as hell for Alex, and Allen Toussaint, and Irma Thomas. All of the citizens of New Orleans and its environs are in my family's prayers... |

Fats Domino was located after the media wrote about his being missing. I wish we could get alex out of there -- did you see the tv tonight? Dysentery conditions, dehydration, no food, desperation, no water. This is what alex is in the middle of. He can get sick and die too, like anyone else, ya know, so I hope he's ok.

I'm nervous for everyone still suck in that god-forsaken mess. This is the saddest thing I've ever lived through (and been a aware of).
Alex Chilton is one of my all time favorites. I don't know him personally, but from all accounts he's an outstanding man. I sure hope he's ok.
My thoughts are with everyone still suck in there. We've lost a terrific city. |
