And according to the NME:

The new LP is being produced Roy Thomas Baker - most famous for his work with Foreigner, Cheap Trick and The Cars.

It is also rumoured that a legendary female rock vocalist will come out retirement to collaborate with The Darkness on one track, and Baker has allegedly told the band to order Bentley cars as he is so confident of the record’s success.

However, the studio source posted: “Justin (Hawkins – singer) is thought to prefer a Lamborghini Countach built in the year of his birth.”

As previously reported on NME.COM, The Darkness are currently working in the same studio in which Queen recorded ’Bohemian Rhapsody’.

Hawkins said: “Studio stuff is going well. It’s about the biggest drum sound you’ll ever hear on a rock record and that’s all there is to it at the moment. We’re in the same studio that they recorded ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ in, so I’m using Freddie (Mercury)’s piano and stuff.”

You gotta love that.
