I can vouch for the "alternative" chart... it's virtually identical to the top ten playlist for my local "modern rock" station, plus or minus some CanCon schlock.
I also hate at least half of those songs and switch off the radio whenever I hear the first few bars. And that's on the station that I actually LIKE. Radio sucks.
Could somebody please politely ask Weezer to stop making records?
I can't hum a single one of the "all formats" top ten songs. I guess I'll go back out on my lawn and resume shaking my fist at the neighbourhood kids...
