Elliott Smith - Angel in the Snow

August 7, 2007

MP3: Elliott Smith - "Angel in the Snow"

Yesterday, August 6th, would have been Elliott Smith's 38th birthday. In honor of this killrockstars is offering another free mp3 off the New Moon collection.

This beautiful song was originally released on the disc included with Yeti #1 (2000), and it's as good as anything Smith released on an official album.

Previously: GLONO Interview: Larry Crane, Archivist of Elliott Smith's Estate; MP3: Elliott Smith - High Times; more.

In honor of his bday, I put a live version of "Somebody's Baby " on this week's podcast. This version is sure to make any Smith fan think about both greatness and fragility.
