Wilco - What Light

March 8, 2007

Wilco - "What Light" from Sky Blue Sky, due May 15 on Nonesuch.

Pedal steel, pretty harmonies, conversational lyrics, prominent acoustic guitar... What more could an old school Wilco fan want? Maybe a little less piano, but hey. When you have 12 dudes in the band, they've all gotta do something, I guess. This is good.

Thanks to Wilcoworld for the mp3, and to lhb for pointing us to the direct link.

No twelve minute static drones? No rambling, loose metered lyrics? Dare I get my hopes up?

Less Nels Cline. That's what I want.
