Fleet Foxes - Mykonos

March 26, 2009

MP3: Fleet Foxes - "Mykonos"

Originally released on the Sun Giant EP and included with the vinyl version of the debut album Fleet Foxes. On May 5, Sub Pop is releasing it as a 7" single in a gatefold sleeve, backed with a cover of the traditional ballad "False Knight on the Road." Surprised they're not getting it out in time for Record Store Day...

If you've somehow avoided the hype surrounding this band, check it out if you're into pretty melodies, acoustic instrumentation, and lush harmonies. Comparisons to Crosby, Stills and Nash are as cheap as comparing Vampire Weekend to Graceland.

Not all Vampire Weekend is like Graceland, just that one song. It's undeniable, dude.
