Brian Jonestown Massacre - Let's Go Fucking Mental

January 27, 2010

Brian Jonestown Massacre Logo Brian Jonestown Massacre is back with their tenth studio album, Who Killed Sgt. Pepper, and while I love BJM like I love few bands, I wish Anton would put down the My Bloody Valentine and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult records and go back to the Stones. Maybe he needs to bring Matt Hollywood back to write some actual songs?

MP3: Brian Jonestown Massacre - "Let’s Go Fucking Mental"

Who Killed Sgt. Pepper is out on February 23. US tour dates after the jump.

UPDATE: According to Wikipedia, Matt Hollywood is back in BJM. If true, I will eat a whole bag of crow. Maybe the question is then, did Anton let Matt Hollywood write any songs?

well you can shit in one hand and wish in the other and see which one feels heavier right?

the one thing about the modern world that sucks is everyone and their mom has a blog and fancies themselves a critique.

i like your moms blog better.

And this is why we love Anton...

Still looking forward to the album, by the way. So is my mom.

Classic Anton.

even though I'm a part of all this endless chatter I still have to agree with him about they "everyone and their mom..." line. It's perhaps gotten too easy to express yourself these. Present company (GLONO) excluded.

But then again, until now, when was an artist really able to vent about what a writer thought of their work?

Food for thought.
