I can give these guys a certain amount of credit because: 1) They're a "power trio" in the finest Rush-ian fashion; 2) They're all San Francisco Conservatory of Music grads; 3) They manage to make their violin/cello/drum band sound exactly like a guitar/bass/drum band. Too bad then that they've chosen to ape Primus—so much so that they are playing with Les Claypool at the Fillmore on New Year's Eve. I'll be ringing in the New Year elsewhere.
