Video: Vampire Weekend - "Cousins"

The debut video off Contra, due January 12 on XL. I like how fast and short it is. Good use of bells, too. What do you think?

I dig it. Are Vampire Weekend the 21st century 'They Might Be Giants'?

I often find myself liking videos more than the songs themselves, which is the case here. I do like the jittery guitar line and the bells, but generally when I listen to VW I feel like he's singing the same song over and over across different melodies. Same for this one.

I like it. I like it a lot. But why is it every time I listen to VW I feel like I've had waaayyy too much caffeine?

"I like how fast and short it is."

Mercifully, yes. I'll give it that much.

Shecky, please apologize to John and John.

Definitely a talented band. Good video. Catchy tune. Still don't like them.
