Video: The Beets - "I Think I Might've Built a Horse" (Perfect Pitch)

Thanks, John, for turning us on to this video. You're right: it's charming as hell. And not in the cloying sense.

I don't know how many of you watched Nickelodeon in the 90s, but Doug's favorite band on the cartoon bearing his name was The Beets. I'm like 98% certain of this.

Thanks for posting this clip! It's actually from a performance the Beets did for Time Out New York's music blog, The Volume (timeoutnewyork.com/thevolume). Every week, we invite various bands to play a song or two acoustically in our offices in a series called Live at TONY. Our recent guests have included Suzanne Vega, Ari Up and The Wingdale Community Singers. Please check it out and spread the word. Thanks, Billie from Time Out

THE BEETS are playing a late show (after Vivian Girls at Duke Coffeehouse) in Durham, NC on 3/26 with NODZZZ, another amazing band that sings sweats and bleeds lo-fi. John D. and all fellow Durhamites (and whoever else wants to drive to Durham) are welcome!! 2702 Lawndale Ave.
