Some tend to believe that the more REGISTERED users you have for any medium(card clubs,prize clubs etc,) the more appealing you are to advertisers.
I'm not talking about revealing or selling e-mail addresses but just plain numbers of registered users..
I don't know if I necessarily agree with this 100 percent. But the theory is that if you take the time to register then you're an active listener to a radio station or a daily visitor to a website who will pay more attention to everything including the ads..
