The Spoons

I intend to catch the Abbey Pub Chi-town shows.

Anyone ever catch Spoon live before? I seem to hear mixed reviews, and I can't imagine why.

I saw them at the double door night before thanks in 2001 and they rocked my socks off.

They were amazing! I had just started getting into Girls can Tell at the time and I was very pleased with what I saw.

I'll be at the show on the 30th. Hope I have the same experience.

I saw them in March at the Vanderbuilt Campus in Nashville. It was a really small crowd so you could see them really well. They played almost everything from Kill the Moonlight and even some from Girls Can Tell. Plus, the show was free. If they ever come near you, definately worth seeing.

I saw the Spoon at the Abbey last spring. Excellent show. I've heard mixed reveiws as well but my experience was great. Excellent sound, good stage banter, hot indie chicks abound...what more do you need?

Which one were you at derek? I was at the show where they lost two keyboards that night. Well, one of the opening bands screwed up one of em, and the second one blew not long after they took the stage.

Anyways, i didn't get to stay the whole show that much I remember. But yeah it was great.

And I found myself standing in front of Jim Derogatis at one point and before I could utter a word, my friend yanked me away very quickly(she did this knowing that the word I may uttter was probably not going to be a nice one as I don't like the man too much).

Ahh spoon memories..

That wasn't the show I saw. Everything went off without a hitch when I saw them. Though the Abbey was hot as hell and packed to the gills. That is not my favorite place to see a show, to say the least.
